Tuition/Fees
- Tuition is due on the 1st of each month with a one week grace period. Late payments will incur an additional fee of $8.
- Tuition is considered annual and is divided into 12 equal payments.
- 46 lessons/events will be offered throughout the year. These include private lessons, group workshops, summer camps, and recitals.
- Continued enrollment is contingent upon timely payment. If payment is missing or late, your slot may be re-assigned to accommodate wait-listed students after notification is attempted with no response.
- Lessons are held once each week during your allotted time except during workshop weeks. Workshops may be scheduled seasonally and/or around recital dates.
- Payments are made by bank transfer. Cash or Check is also accepted. Please make checks out to Nikki Burroughs Piano Studio. Mailing address: 5011 Golden Foothill Pkwy, suite 2 El Dorado Hills, CA 95762
- Rates are adjusted annually and may increase or decrease. Please contact the studio for current tuition rates.
- A one-time registration fee is due upon enrollment.
- Tuition secures your student's weekly lesson time and ensures consistent instruction. It is not calculated by exact minutes of each lesson.
- Fees are not reduced for missed lessons. Your tuition payment is considered your commitment to attendance.
- If you must miss a lesson, please give advance notice by text or email.
- Make-up lessons are not guaranteed. Make-ups are only offered if an alternate slot becomes available within one week of the absence. If an alternate slot does not become available, the missed lesson must be forfeited.
- Sick students are not allowed in the studio.
- Teacher is entitled to up to two paid sick days per calendar year. Lessons missed due to illness beyond this will be rescheduled at a mutually convenient time.
- Withdrawal Notice: Advance notice of a minimum of 30 days is required if you plan to discontinue lessons. Tuition for this period is still due, whether or not lessons are attended.
- The instructor may discontinue lessons at any time if the placement is not a good fit or if student behavior, attendance, or other circumstances make continued instruction unproductive.
- Student assignments are sent to parents by email via Duet Partner.
- Necessary books and materials must be obtained as needed depending on the student's progress.
This studio is proud to offer Certificate of Merit. The Music Teachers’ Association of California® (MTAC) sponsors the music study program Certificate of Merit® (CM). The program provides a standard of curriculum that requires students to strive for focused musical excellence in performance, technique, ear training, sight reading/singing, and music theory. Students wishing to enter the CM program must demonstrate aptitude and conscientiousness, according to teacher's assessment and be fully committed to the program. Students not fully committed may be dropped from the program.
My Expectations
- I expect my students to arrive at each lesson prepared and well practiced. Consistent lack of preparation may result in dismissal.
- I expect parents to provide their young child a regularly scheduled and undisturbed time period each day for study and practice.**
