Since 2000, I have been passionately teaching piano to students of all ages and backgrounds. My journey in music education began with a focus on young children. I've received specialized training to nurture early musical development, however, my experience extends to students of all ages, and I enjoy tailoring lessons to meet the individual needs and goals of every learner.
I originally began my college studies as an art major before transitioning to music. The overlap between visual arts and music continues to influence my teaching. I see both as deeply creative and expressive forms. This artistic foundation enhances the way I approach musicality, interpretation and creativity in my students. With a degree in music and a diverse background in the arts, I offer students a well-rounded and enriching learning experience.
As a certified and active member of the Music Teacher's Association of California (MTAC), I provide my students access to programs such as Certificate of Merit. I attend and follow many workshops, conferences, podcasts and forums related to music and pedagogy, as I believe that a constant flow of ideas and new information is what keeps me passionate about what I do. I love music and I love people. I believe there is musical potential in each and every person. The music within all people deserves to be drawn out and nurtured.
